Life is like a river...sometimes the river is calm and sometimes there are rapids.  Often there are bends and we can’t quite see around the corner to know what’s coming.  If we were a bird then we could get enough altitude and have a much different perspective. 

 

Astrology allows us to get that bird’s eye view to see what’s coming and to see where we’ve been.

 

Knowing where the rapids are ahead of time gives us time to put on our life-preservers and shift our center of gravity.  Being prepared means that we can enjoy the ride much more than we would if we found ourselves suddenly dumped overboard into the water.

 

Conversely, knowing that we have a period of time when the water is calm (a great Venus or Jupiter transit) gives us the opportunity to take off the life-preserver and bask in the sun…or initiate our projects to take full advantage of the positive energy.
